KongZi Institute University of Malaya Hosted the First Chinese Movie Dubbing Competition

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]On April 24th, KongZi Institute University of Malaya hosted the first Chinese movie dubbing competition, which attracted more than 30 Chinese language students. Dr. Norzalina, the Malaysian director of KongZi Institute UM, all the teachers, staff and students of KZIUM attended this competition.

Dr. Zalina noted that KongZi Institute is a platform for promoting the interaction between Malaysia and China. She said that culture is an important part of language, which students should try to understand when they are learning. And by watching Chinese movie it not only can help one to learn the language but is also an interesting way to understand the culture.

The dubbing presented by contestants were so amazing that earned rounds of applause. Students in beginner levels may not understand all the dialogues, but they also attracted by the dubbing.  Some contestants were totally immersed in the story to the extent of trying to act when performing their dubbing on the stage. After intense competition, Shahrul Hafiq and Siti Radhiah Binti Mahadzir from the University of Malaya won the first prize.
